Publisher Licences

Jam Press offers a global library of licensed news content, exclusives, photography and video available for editorial licensing.

All content distributed by Jam Press passes through an internal editorial and verification process designed to assess copyright, ownership, authenticity and usage rights.

A range of licence structures are used across the business depending on the source material and rights position.

Full licensing terms and conditions are available within the Jam Press Buyer’s Pack and can be provided upon request.

For licensing enquiries, one-off usage requests or long-term partnership discussions, contact:

Exclusive Licence

An exclusive licence has been obtained directly from the verified copyright holder. Jam Press holds exclusive distribution rights for the agreed content within the terms of the contributor agreement.

Non-Exclusive Licence

A non-exclusive licence has been obtained directly from the verified copyright holder. The copyright holder retains the ability to license the content elsewhere.

Mixed Licence

Licensing arrangements may vary across individual assets supplied within a story package.

Where applicable, individual files should be checked for their specific rights status and usage terms.

Fair Dealing / Fair Use

In limited cases, Jam Press may distribute material under fair dealing/fair use principles for legitimate editorial reporting purposes.

Before distribution, Jam Press undertakes a verification and sourcing process which may include:

  • checks across verified social media accounts
  • review of local reporting and source material
  • attempts to identify or contact the copyright holder
  • editorial assessment of public interest and newsworthiness

Where content is supplied under fair dealing/fair use, usage is intended for editorial news reporting purposes only.

Jam Press accepts responsibility for licensed editorial publisher usage only. Any additional client usage, including use across owned social media channels, commercial marketing or non-editorial purposes, remains the responsibility of the client.
